Welcome to Sleep Coaching

As a certified Gentle Sleep Coach and mom of two, I follow the philosophy developed by Kim West, LCSW-C (The Sleep Lady®) and baby sleep expert “The Sleep Lady Shuffle,” — a proven, research-informed method that gives families a gentler, more connected approach to teach your baby to sleep independently. Many people assume that if they co-sleep/room share, or breastfeed that they can’t sleep, coach. That is simply not true! You can foster your child in learning self-soothing skills for sleep without sacrificing breastfeeding goals, responsive parenting or the attachment you long to have with your child.

Together, we’ll create a step-by-step sleep plan that’s individualized to your child’s age, health, temperament, and your family’s lifestyle and values. Whether you’re breastfeeding, co-sleeping, crib-training, or somewhere in between — I will meet you exactly where you are.

What Families Are Saying

I cannot recommend Kristin highly enough!

We had been co-sleeping with our 8-month-old daughter for months, and we had nearly given up hope for sleep training. Kristin worked with us to develop a graduated, tailored sleep plan to reintroduce our daughter to her crib. After a few weeks, she is now sleeping in her crib for 12 hours without interruption! Throughout the process, Kristin made herself readily available to answer all our questions and adjust the plan as needed. We are very grateful for the opportunity to learn from her and could not be happier with the outcome.

My Baby Sleep Coach Philosophy

As a mama and a nurse, I know that sleep is not just about getting through the night—it’s about supporting the health and well-being of your whole family. Babies aren’t little robots to be programmed; they’re tiny humans with real needs, rhythms, and emotions. And parents deserve rest, too.

My approach to sleep coaching is gentle, responsive, relationship-based, and rooted in secure attachment. I don’t believe in leaving your child to “cry it out” or using one-size-fits-all methods. Instead, I partner with you to create a plan that fits your baby’s unique temperament, your family’s values, and your season of life.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of sleep challenges do you support?

At Graceful Sleep, we work with a wide range of sleep issues — from little ones (infants and toddlers) who are resisting naps or waking often at night, to adults struggling with insomnia, stress, diet or environment-based sleep disruption. We believe better sleep is possible for every family member.

Will you judge our current sleep routines or habits?

Not at all. We begin where you are—with respect for your lifestyle, your values, your child’s temperament (or your own habits). Our goal is to meet you in your world, help you understand the underlying patterns, and gently guide change in a way that feels right for you.

My toddler is waking up multiple times per night—can you help?

Absolutely. Whether it’s frequent night wakings, early rising, short naps or bedtime battles, we start by looking at the full picture: sleep environment, daily rhythm, settling habits, developmental shifts. Then we build a responsive, realistic plan that leads toward longer, more peaceful stretches for everyone.

What if I’m dealing with adult insomnia rather than a child’s sleep?

You’re in the right place. Graceful Sleep supports adults too, by looking beyond “just the bedtime hour” to your schedule, light exposure, stress levels, diet, environment and even mindset. A 12-week holistic program helps you develop sustainable habits rooted in your life, so you can rediscover rest and wake-up with ease.

Does this mean I have to ditch attachment, co-sleeping or my child’s current schedule?

No. We believe in supporting your preferences and family style, not replacing them. If you choose to bed-share, room-share, or have certain rhythms in your home, we incorporate your values into the plan. The objective is healthier sleep, not a radical overhaul of your parenting identity.

How long until we see improvement?

Improvement timelines vary depending on age, severity of sleep disruption, consistency of implementation, and life context. Some families notice small shifts within a week; others take a month or more to gain momentum. We stay alongside you, adjusting and celebrating progress as you move forward.

We have interruptions—travel, illness, developmental leaps. Will that crash our progress?

It won’t derail all progress. Life happens. We build in flexibility and strategies to handle transitions like travel, new sibling, big milestone or sickness. When those moments come, we pause, adjust, and resume rather than starting from zero.

Are your recommendations evidence-based and safe for all ages?

Yes. Our approach is rooted in sleep science, child development, adult sleep health, and real-world practice. We prioritize safety, consider medical / feeding / sensory factors when needed, and tailor our work so it fits each unique situation.

How do we get started?

First, we’ll schedule a discovery chat where we listen to your story. Then we assess your current sleep landscape, clarify your goals, and choose the right program (whether for your child, yourself or both). From there you receive a customised plan and ongoing guidance so you’re never navigating alone.

What makes Graceful Sleep different from other sleep coaches?

We take a whole-family, whole-life view. We don’t just fix bedtime. We consider daytime routines, environment, nutrition, stress, temperament, adult habits—and all the factors that influence sleep. You’re not just getting a one-size-fits-all plan—you’re getting support built around who you are, where you are, and what you want your rest to look like.
